			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From the 7th February to the 19th April 2009 the Imperial War Museum North will be showing a fascinating exhibition of art by women war artists, Witness: Women War Artists. Admission is free.<span id="more-160"></span></p>
<p>The Imperial War Museum North is located in an impressive, award winning building designed by world renowned architect Daniel Libeskind which is located on the Trafford Park side of Salford Quays.</p>
<p>The Imperial War Museum North is one of a number of branches of the Imperial War Museum which has its head quarters in London and includes the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms in London, HMS Belfast moored on the Thames in London and Imperial War Museum, Duxford.</p>
<p>The exhibition, Witness: Women War Artists, will include personal reflections of the artists about the impact of war on their lives and how conflict has shaped their lives. The exhibition will feature the work of more than 25 artists including Anna Airy , Dame Laura Knight RA, Linda Kitson and Frauke Eigen, and will include over 100 individual works. Witness: Women War Artists is sponsored by Manchester Airports Group plc and Stowe Family Law.</p>
