High School Musical on Stage!, Lyric Theatre, The Lowry, Salford Quays, Mon 11 May 2009 – Sat 23 May 2009

Anyone with children will know just how much kids love the Disney Channel’s High School Musical films.

High School Musical is the hit film that has plenty to offer both parents and children. Now Salford plays host to the theatrical version of this modern day story of Romeo and Juliet, High School Musical on Stage!

The popularity of the High School Musical series of films has been phenomenal. Starting in 2006 with High School Musical, HSM as it is known to fans, was followed up by two more films, each as enjoyable as the one before. High School Musical made international stars out of Zak Efron (Troy in the film) and Vanessa Hudgens (who played Gabriella) as well as many others in the cast.

Now HSM fans of all ages will be able to enjoy the stage production – High School Musical on Stage! which is coming to The Lyric Theatre, The Lowry, Salford Quays, from Mon 11 May 2009 until Sat 23 May 2009.

The show features much loved hits from the film and is engrossing and enjoyable entertainment of the best kind. According to the Lowry’s website, the show features:-

While Zak and Vanessa will not be there, the talented actors who bring you this live stage production are dedicated to ensuring that you have the best time possible.

The show runs from Mon 11 May 2009 until Sat 23 May 2009 and is suitable for everyone aged 4 and above. Tickets cost between £12.50 and £32.50 and High School Musical on Stage! lasts for around 140 minutes.
