Have you ever wondered what things are like behind the scenes at the BBC? The BBC in Manchester is home to a number of different TV and radio programmes the most well known of which is, perhaps, BBC North West Tonight presented by Gordon Burns and Ranvir Singh.

From the Wednesday 28 January the BBC are offering tours of their studios across the UK.

As a part of this scheme, BBC Manchester is offering a 90 minute tour of their centre in Oxford Road, Manchester. BBC Manchester is the BBC’s regional centre for the North West of England. If you want to travel a little further afield there are tours of BBC centres across the UK including BBC Radio Stoke in Stoke on Trent and BBC Radio Lancashire in Burnley.

BBC Manchester tours will allow you to see how television and radio programmes are made. You will be able to visit their Interactive Studio and try your hand at presenting the weather and star in a radio drama.

Tours will take place each Wednesday from 10.00am to 12.30pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays at 10.00am, 1.00pm and 3.30pm.

BBC Manchester is located in New Broadcasting House, Oxford Road, Manchester M60 1SJ. Tour tickets are available from the BBC’s tour ticket line, 0370 901 1227 and pre-booking is essential.
