Manchester has a superb range of hotels to suit almost any budget.

If you are looking for value for money accommodation there is an excellent range of budget hotels which offer a fantastic ‘no frills’ quality service for those who are looking for convenience at great prices. At the opposite  end of the range are stunning hotels which offer luxury along with the extensive range of quality services you would expect from world class hotels. A list of Manchester’s premier hotels would have to include The Lowry Hotel, Salford Quays and the Midland Hotel, in Manchester Town Centre, as well as many, many more.

Visitors to Manchester can choose from literally hundreds of different places to stay. There are hotels to suit almost every budget. Many are situated within walking distance of the city’s town centre and there are hundreds more hotels in the Greater Manchester area. This is great whether you are visiting for business or pleasure.

Most, if not all, of the big hotel chains are present in Manchester including luxury hotel chains such as Radisson, Hilton and Holiday Inn. For the visitors looking for more basic, consistent value for money accommodation chains visitors can chose from Best Western, Travel Lodge, Ibis and Travel Inn amongst the many chains present in Manchester.

Of course, like any great city there are many hundreds more great places to stay ranging from bed and breakfast accommodation right through to the very best luxury hotels. Independent hotels incuding the smaller bed and breakfast accommodation is also in plentiful supply. With so much on offer Manchester’s hotels have something to suit every pocket and every taste.

Chosing a hotel in Manchester is easier than in many other places. The town centre is reasonably compact and if you want to include sightseeing on your trip, a city centre hotel should be your first choice. If you want to venture further afield Manchester is well served with a reliable bus network and there is a frequent tram service called Metrolink to many parts of Manchester, and beyond. If your hotel is located further from the town centre check to see that it is near main bus routes or near a Metrolink station.

There are also many, many hotels located around Greater Manchester. Greater Manchester is made up of many diverse metropolitan areas each with a distinct character of their own. For travel to and from your hotel there is likely to be a range of public transport options in Greater Manchester and beyond including bus, tram and train. Manchester is well served with car hire companies and travelling by taxi can be an economic alternative to public transport in many areas, especially for shorter trips or if there is a group of people travelling together.
